Welcome to the Department of Learning, Curriculum and Communication (LCC).  In LCC we are committed to excellence in teaching and research, offering our students an intellectually rich and supportive community in which to study. Our special strength is the study, support and improvement of pedagogy, curriculum and assessment through multidisciplinary approaches to discourse, language and communication. 

These areas are complemented by highly innovative work in new technologies for learning and teaching, contemporary literacies and psychosocial approaches to education. The department offers a wide range of Masters courses, PGCE courses in secondary English, English with Drama, and Modern Foreign Languages, a Bachelor of Education and a Foundation Degree.

Post-graduate research students have access to a comprehensive doctoral studies programme and supervision from world class researchers. We warmly welcome enquiries about our activities from across the globe and within the UK.
