External Examiners

Information for External Examiners

External Examiners provide a very important role at the Institute of Education. The Institute uses its External Examiner system to verify that standards are appropriate for the award or elements of the award concerned; to audit the conduct of assessment processes to ensure that they are fair and fairly operated; and to assist in the development of the programme of study concerned.  External Examiners bring subject expertise and, where appropriate, practice-based expertise to their duties.
