TERM DATES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2011-2012

All students other than PGCE
• Autumn term: Monday 3 October to Friday 16 December 2011
• Spring term: Monday 9 January to Friday 16 March 2012
• Summer term: Tuesday 23 April to Friday 29 June 2012

Secondary PGCE students:

For the winter and spring vacations Secondary students should work to their school placement end and begining of terms.

• Autumn term: Monday 5 September to Tuesday 16 December 2011
• Spring term: Tuesday 3 January to Friday 30 March 2012
• Summer term: Monday 16 April to Friday 22 June 2012

 

Post-Compulsory PGCE/Diploma

Local authority terms may extend beyond these dates.

  • Autumn Full Time PGCE: Monday 19 September to Friday 16 December 2011
  • Part Time PGCE/Diploma Monday 19 September to Friday 16 December 2011 (Part time students register and have induction during the week starting 19th September)
  • Spring Monday 9 January to Friday 30 March 2012
  • Summer Monday 16 April to Friday 22 June 2012.

 

Primary PGCE students:

  • Autumn Monday 12 September to Friday 16 December 2011
  • Spring Thursday 5 January to Friday 30 March 2012
  • Summer Monday 23 April to Friday 13 July 2012
