The IOE visits Japan, Brazil, Taiwan and Korea this autumn – please join us

The IOE will be hosting events in Japan, Brazil, Taiwan and Korea this autumn, and we welcome future students, alumni and friends of the Institute to join us.
In Japan, David Block, Professor of Education and TESOL, will be lecturing in Osaka, Hiroshima, Tokyo and Kyoto from 6-12 October, while Mike Winter, Director of International Affairs will be representing the IOE at education exhibitions in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. In Brazil, Professor Gerald Grace, a specialist in Catholic education, will be lecturing in Sao Paulo, Campinas, Campo Grande, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro, accompanied by Dr Maria de Figueiredo-Cowen, Brazilian Lektor at the IOE. Meanwhile, Fernanda Bates from the IOE's International Office will represent the IOE at the British Council's London Week exhibitions in Sao Paulo, Campinas and Rio. In Taiwan, Professor Gunther Kress, one of the world's foremost authorities on multimodal communication and education, will deliver lectures in Taipei, Puli and Kaohsiung between 23 and 28 October, while Christopher Price, International Relations Manager, will represent the IOE at Education UK exhibitions in Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung. In Korea, Professor Gunther Kress will deliver two lectures in Seoul – at Ehwa Womans University and at Seoul National University – on the subject of communication in education. Christopher Price will also represent the IOE at Education UK exhibitions in Seoul. A networking reception for alumni and friends of the IOE will take place in Seoul on Saturday evening, 31 October.
