Education Policy and Philanthropy ESRC Research Dissemination Seminar

29 April 2010
14:00 to 17:00

Stephen Ball and Carolina Junemann (CeCeps)

Based on the methods of `network ethnography' the ESRC funded study has explored particular aspects of the changing landscape of education policy and governance in England and the increasingly complex and `congested' terrain of the education state.

The interactive seminar will address and discuss new forms of governance, the work of and analysis of policy networks, and the impact of `new philanthropy' on education policy. The issues raised bear very directly on the future of the public sector in England beyond the 2010 election.
