IOE tops the league table for education research in UK universities (source: independent research assessment exercise, 2008). With a research income of £14m in 2011, and as home to 30 specialist research centres, we are one of the country's largest centres of social science research.
Big portfolio of funders and partners
Funders and partners of IOE research include research councils, charities, government departments and international agencies. We attract the lion's share of UK research council funding (40%) for education research. At any one time we are working on more than 250 research projects.
