About John Smith's
John Smith's Education Bookshop is the UK's oldest bookselling company (John Smith & Son Group Ltd.) and has supplied books to students and academics (amongst others) since 1751.
The specialist education division has a stockholding bookshop within the Institute of Education as well as at the Jordanhill campus of the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. We hold an impressive range of stock covering all educational categories from Early Years to Adult Education.
Today's students, teachers, researchers and academic staff are hugely important and valued customers for our business. With the acquisitions of Hammicks Legal and the BMJ Bookshop we also supply books to lawyers and medical practitioners, as well as law and medical students.
John Smith's supplies books to customers throughout the world and is well known for its fast and efficient service. Orders can be placed online, by e-mail or by the more traditional methods of telephone, fax or post. Experienced and knowledgeable staff are on hand to deal with your order and advise on stock availability, and can order direct from the publisher any title in print which is not currently held in stock.
