- Summary:
- I worked in the early years as a teacher for most of the 1980s and have been an academic and researcher for over 20 years, holding positions at the universities of Warwick and London. I am an international expert in research and policy in early childhood care and education, and am concerned to explore the impact of home learning, staff training, pedagogy and curriculum and assessment on young children's learning and development, particularly those from vulnerable backgrounds. I am also interested in what shapes learners' life-course trajectories over time.
