    • I have been a lecturer in education at the Institute of Education since 1989 after teaching for many years in a London secondary school. I am a tutor on the PGCE English course and on the Master of Teaching course. My interests are in gender and English teaching and in the professional development of English teachers, particularly in the early years of practice.
