    • I have a background in further education, specifically work-based learning and adult education; I also have expertise in FE policy and funding, particularly in the area of literacy, numeracy and ESOL (LNE). My role in NRDC is to lead on research and development activity around basic skills and FE teacher training. As Director of LonCETT (within NRDC) I manage London-focused teacher education and CPD projects. LonCETT is currently funded by LSIS as a Lead Provider in LNE and can offer consultancy and staff development to FE providers. LonCETT also has a regional support role for Institute for Learning (IfL) supporting HR departments and teachers in professional formation for QTLS and marinating CPD records. LonCETT hosts meetings of the London Teacher Trainers Professional Network on a termly basis.


      LONCETT was set up by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS), as part of its national strategy to identify, develop and share good practice to improve the quality of teacher training and support teacher training providers in the lifelong learning sector. Led by the Institute of Education LONCETT has developed collaborative partnerships with organisations across London. LONCETT is an LSIS Lead Provider, supporting London providers with quality improvement of their maths and English provision.
