- My research interests cover the following topics:
- Ethnic conflicts, nation-building, civic and ethnic identities;
Social cohesion, civic attitudes and their determinants;
- Political socialization and civic education;
- Diversity, multiculturalism and social solidarity
- Teaching:
- - Leader of the MA Comparative Education module "Minorities, Migrants and Refugees in National Education Systems"
- Leader of the Doctoral School course "Framing a Thesis Comparatively"
- I further teach on the MA Comparative Education modules "Theories and Methods" and "European Systems and Traditions"
- Research Projects:
- I am currently in charge of a project entitled "School Ethnic Mix and Social Attitudes" as part of the ESRC funded LLAKES centre (Learning and Life Chances in Knowledge Economies and Societies). This project aims to explore the impact of ethnic and racial diversity in schools on social cohesion and civic attitudes across a variety of states. I also contribute to other projects of the centre.
