- Paul Armstrong joined the LCLL in October 2011 as the Research Officer for the ESRC funded Global City Leaders project exploring the next generation of young school leaders in three of the top ten global cities: London, New York and Toronto. Paul is currently in the final year of his doctoral research at the University of Manchester exploring the role of the school business manager in the changing organisational culture of schools in England. He has also completed an MSc in Educational Research. Whilst his background lies in Psychology, Paul has spent the last six years working as a researcher on a range of educational research projects most recently evaluating the Teach First programme in England and a three year project investigating the effectiveness of a national strategy to develop school business management capacity for the National College. His primary interests are educational change, school culture and new forms of leadership and management.
