- Before coming to the Institute in 1997 I worked at universities and similar institutions in England, Spain, Holland and Australia. My main interest is in elective home education generally and in particular informal and autonomous learning of a kind which rarely feature in school.

- Supervision of a small number of MA dissertations, currently one on school refusal and home education.
