  • Summary:
    • My research interests include the development of expertise, the psychology of performance and performance anxiety. I have worked in research teams for various funded research projects, most recently as a Coordinating Research Officer in the "Investigating Musical Performance: Comparative Studies in Advanced Musical Learning" (2006-2008; funded by ESRC TLRP) and the "Evaluation of the National Singing Programme" (2007-2011; funded by SingUp). I have published papers in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and authored a number of book chapters. I am a Chartered Psychologist, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

    • I am a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology & Human Development (Faculty of Children & Learning) and also contribute to modules in the Department of Arts & Humanities (Faculty of Children & Learning) and the Doctoral School. I currently teach on the following modules:
