- Summary:
- Kathryn's research examines the educational and occupational choices made by young people during the transition to adulthood.
Her interests lie in exploring the different types of transitions made by individuals as they move out of compulsory schooling and, taking a longitudinal perspective, investigating the precursors, consequences and the contextual constraints that may influence such development.

- Kathryn is a Fellow in the PATHWAYS Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme for the Comparative Study of Productive Youth Development and is currently working with colleagues at the Universities of Jena and Helsinki on issues of entrepreneurial development and track choice.
She is also working with colleagues from the Centre for Analysis of Pathways from Childhood to Adulthood (University of Michigan) looking at the long-run correlates of age achievement, attention and behavioural skills in middle childhood and early predictors of maths achievement.
