Newsflash: the IOE-China Scholarships Council Doctoral Awards for autumn 2012 start have been re-opened for applications. The new, final deadline is 10 February 2012. Details available here.
- If you are from outside the EU and planning to study at Masters or Doctoral level, check out our Centenary Scholarships for taught masters or research. In 2011/12 these included 5 awards at masters level, including 1 International Students House Centenary Scholarship. We also offered two awards at doctoral level. Centenary Scholarship opportunities for 2012/13 will announced in Spring 2012. Be sure to return to this page regularly!
There is a range of support for undergraduate or PGCE students, including awards for under-represented groups and the Eliahou Dangoor Scholarships for PGCEs in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), ICT or Mathematics.
There is also a new TDA scholarship scheme for teachers in England, which is aimed at masters-level qualifications focused on English, Maths, Science, and Special Education with a maximum scholarship award of £3,500. The David Warren Scholarship, in memory of a former IOE Secretary, is open to UK students undertaking our MA in Geography Education.
The IOE has partnerships with the China Scholarship Council, providing awards for Chinese PhD students; with the Fulbright Commission for masters students and teachers from the USA; with the Said Foundation for masters students from Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and the Palestinian Territories; and with the Windle Trust for masters students from specified African countries.
