London open days and fairs
- Open Days at IOE
Open days are for prospective students to visit the IOE campus, meet our tutors, tour our facilities, pick up information about our courses, and speak our staff about any aspect of studying with us.
School Direct Open Evening

If you are interested in becoming a teacher and would like to find out more about the school-led training pathway School Direct, come along to our open evening where you can speak with programme representatives, find out about the different training routes and meet staff from partner schools. Postgraduate Open Evening

If you are interested in studying at postgraduate level at the IOE we will be holding an open evening in April 2014 where you can speak with academic staff, meet our support teams and hear from IOE students about their experiences here.
Which programmes will be included in this open day?
This open day will include initial teacher training, masters programmes and doctoral level study. Please note that some of our programmes are now full for September 2014 entry and there will not a be a specific information stand for these programmes. However, you can still speak to staff and attend general presentations about studying here. Please note:
- Secondary PGCE Social Science – FULL FOR 2014
Secondary PGCE English with Drama - FULL FOR 2014
Primary PGCE - Additional places have become available for 2014. Applications will open again on Monday 24th February.
What happens at the Open Day?
After you have signed in at the Registration Desk, there are a variety of options to choose from, including:
- Visit the exhibition area which will include stands for different programmes where you can pick up information and speak with programme representatives
- Attend a presentation about studying for a masters, doctoral programme or teacher training programme
- Attend a presentation and get advice and information about student support or financing your studies
- Take a tour of the campus with a Student Ambassador guide.
- Places for presentations and tours are limited so please do book in advance for these sessions when you fill out the online booking form.
How do I book my place?
To book your place at the Open Day, please complete the online booking form. The form will ask you to select a year of entry – please select '2014', even if you have not yet decided, or are thinking of applying in later years. You are welcome to bring guests along with you, please include this on your booking form. However, if any of your guests are also interested in studying at the IOE, please ask them to fill out their own booking form. This means they can book onto the activities that interest them and they will be sent their own schedule for the event. Once you have filled out the form you will receive your own personalised schedule for the event, which you can change at any time.

- BA Education Studies Taster Day - FULLY BOOKED
Monday 17 March, 2-4.30pm
Introduction to the Education Studies programme - get an overview of the three-year programme, including possibilities for specialising in History, Sociology, Philosophy or Psychology with Education Studies and where it could take you.
