Wednesday 3rd June 2015 - 1pm-6pm
We will be hosted a Welcome Day on Wednesday 3rd June 2015 from 1pm - 6pm for all students who have accepted the offer of a place on a Secondary PGCE. The Welcome Day is a fantastic opportunity for you to find out more about the PGCE programme and to ask any questions you may have. The schedule will be as follows:
1pm - 3pm: Opportunity for you to present any outstanding documentation (eg. proof of previous qualifications) to ensure you have met the conditions of your offer. If you have already done this then you do not need to arrive until 3pm.
3pm - 5pm: Presentation by the Secondary PGCE Programme Leader, followed by sessions on fees and funding, information services and student support. This will include guidance about the DBS process (formally CRB), Occupational Health and QTS Skills Tests queries.
5pm - 6pm: Subject sessions where Subject Leaders will be available to answer any subject specific questions you may have.
All students are required to register their intention to attend using the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/welcomeday2015
There will be an opportunity to speak with our placements team on the day if you have any queries. Please note that if you need to update or inform the placements team of any of the below points please email SecondaryPlacements@ioe.ac.uk as soon as possible. If nothing has changed in your circumstances then we will be using the same information you provided on your UCAS form when applying.
Please get in touch with the placements team if:
• Change in your term time address
• Childcare issues
• If you have any issues around mobility/health or require special consideration in placements
• If you have access to a car/motorcycle/cycle
