Centenary Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded to international students studying a masters or doctoral degree who have demonstrated academic excellence and the desire to improve education in their own country.

Existing IOE alumni around the world include education ministers and ministry officials, politicians, authors, university presidents and international development organisation officials. We are confident that our Centenary Scholars will be equipped to follow in these footsteps towards positions of influence for positive change.

Studying at the IOE is only the beginning of a scholar's journey and this support can benefit many thousands of people over the course of a career in teaching and research. As future researchers and leaders they have the potential to make a significant contribution to education in their communities.

By choosing to give to the Centenary Scholarship Fund you will be contributing to:

• Continuing a proud tradition of providing an international academic environment

• Providing future educators and leaders with the best tools to equip them to help improve education world-wide

• Giving Scholars the power to increase the skill, knowledge and aspirations of thousands of others in their home countries

• Reducing poverty and enabling people to overcome the challenges of the future through education

• Allowing students to focus on their studies and not to worry about the incredible cost of living in London

• Providing scholarships in educational research which are few and far between and much sought after

• Making a life changing difference in our Scholar's future.

Each month we feature a Centenary Scholar where you can find out how they are impacting education through their studies or back in their home countries. Plus you can also watch a video of our Centenary Scholars.
