Flexible learning
Our students can tailor their study around their lives, with our flexible learning options.
Part-time study
Most of our programmes can be studied part-time as well as full-time, or a mix of both. Tuition fees are normally charged pro-rata, so there's no cost penalty to taking your time.
Distance learning masters
We currently offer 7 masters degrees by distance learning.
Flexible masters
Our masters programmes are made up of individual course modules. Modules may be classroom-based, or web-based or a blend of both. Most classroom-based modules are taught in the early evening. (Some classroom-based modules are taught intensively over a single week, or over a few week-ends.)
Students can "mix and match" their modules to combine the advantages of face-to-face contact time with tutors and fellow students along with the convenience of online and condensed study.
Many of our masters programmes have the option of a January start date, as well as the traditional October start.
Work-based learning
We also cater for students who want to take work-based or skills-focused routes. For example, our:
- employment-based teacher training
- leadership in education programmes
- continuing professional development courses.
Bespoke study
For those who want to follow their own study or research interests, rather than one of our set programmes, we offer customisable:
Exchanges
Our undergraduate, masters and doctoral students are eligible to take part of their degree at another European university, via the Erasmus exchange programme.
