The Faculty of Children and Health brings together nationally and internationally recognised scholars with diverse expertise relating to education, children, young people, families, health and well-being.

There is a strong research profile in educational and social research, and a vigorous, dynamic research and consultancy culture together with a vibrant postgraduate researcher community. 

The Faculty shares in the Institute of Education's recent Research Assessment Exercise success, where the Institute was found to have more than twice as many world-leading (4*) scholars in education as any other UK university.

The Faculty offers a highly regarded programme of study, with an exciting and innovative approach to teaching.  The study offer ranges from the Primary PGCE, through to a variety of specialist Masters and postgraduate programmes.  In addition, the Faculty contributes to outreach, Foundation and B.Ed programmes and continuous professional development.
