Consultancy
The Doctoral School was founded in 1999 as a means of bringing together, operationally and strategically, the Institute's research degree programmes and to provide a single point of contact with agencies with an interest in postgraduate research.
Doctoral School staff are actively involved in developments for researcher education both nationally and internationally. This includes the support of postdoctoral and early career researchers, and the provision of short courses and undertaking research and consultancy in the areas of doctoral and research education. The Doctoral School facilitates the further development of collaborative work, locally (for instance through the Bloomsbury Colleges and the Bloomsbury Postgraduate Skills Network (BPSN)), nationally (for instance through Vitae) and internationally (for instance, though the development of EU networks, as well as the development of more focused collaboration with key international partners).
