Post-doctoral Research Scholar

A limited number of places are available on this programme, which provides an opportunity for those who have completed their doctoral studies to spend time as a researcher within the world class environment of the IOE. A senior member of academic staff will provide advisory support and you will be able to take advantage of our specialist research training courses, as well as attending seminars in your faculty. You will also become part of the wider community of staff and students in the Doctoral School. The form of study is flexible depending on your objectives with both full-time and part-time options over a period of between three and twelve months. Following an application, we will devise an individually tailored application for you.

Features

This will enable you to:

  • produce publications to help secure a track record in your chosen specialisation and to improve your opportunities for long-term employment in the higher education sector in the UK or your own country
  • disseminate your research findings
  • further improve your research and related skills through additional specialised training
  • carry out further limited research, possibly based on your PhD work or related work.

Who is this programme for?

We welcome holders of a doctorate who would like to continue working on their research by registering as post-doctoral scholars at the Institute.
