Summary
The aims of the project are to answer the following research questions:
1. What are the current acoustic and noise conditions in UK secondary schools?
2. What are the perceptions of teachers and students in secondary schools concerning the acoustic environment
and how it affects them?
3. What are the impacts of noise and acoustic conditions on the cognitive performance of secondary school pupils?
4. What are appropriate acoustic guidelines for secondary schools?
Methods
Experimental and questionnaire data in schools triangulated with acoustic measurements.
