  • John is a Quantitative Research Officer and has also been a Co-lecturer on Social Science Data Sources and Measurement, MSc Social Statistics. John's research interests include:
    •Economics of education
    •The transition from school to higher education and the labour market
    •Access to higher education
    •Intergenerational mobility and cross-national comparisons
    •Educational achievement and inequalities
    
    John was awarded the prize as the "most promising PhD student in the quantitative social sciences" at the University of Southampton, January 2010. He was the recipient of an ESRC Research Scholarship 2006-2010 and in November 2011 begins a new role as an ESRC post-doctoral fellow.
