Study
We offer Masters programmes, PhD training, and short courses for professional development.
Masters Degrees
MA Economics of Education
MSc Economics of Education
MSc Policy Analysis and Evaluation
The MA and MSc in the Economics of Education are unique – the only degrees on this subject in the UK. The MSc in Policy Analysis and Evaluation provides broad-based training in social science research methods, with an emphasis on quantitative methods. The programme is taught in two day blocks and is particularly suitable for part-time study.
Doctoral and Post-Doctoral Research
We welcome applications to undertake PhD training or post doctoral research in any of our areas of interest. There is a lively environment with a range of opportunities to acquire cutting-edge skills in research methods and to tackle substantive research questions. See examples of topics (pdf) addressed by current and recent students.
We lead the Quantitative Methods cluster of a ESRC-financed Doctoral Training Centre – a consortium of four University of London colleges led by the Institute of Education. See details of ESRC PhD studentships that we have available for entry in 2012-13.
