This module develops the theories and production skills introduced in Digital Video Production 1 (DVP1) and has a greater emphasis on the whole production process. This module concentrates on working at the level of scripting and shooting and includes a practical project involving both of these skills. Whilst Digital Video Production 2 is designed to complement and extend skills and knowledge developed in DVP1, it is perfectly possible to take it as a standalone course. As for DVP1, this module is designed to give an introductory insight into digital video production processes using new technologies, and the theories behind them, with an emphasis on educational practice at all levels. It is not a professional training course based on industry requirements. As for DVP1, it will appeal to teachers, lecturers, youth-workers and other professionals, as well as media students for whom a knowledge of digital video production may form a key component of their work or of their future professional development.
