This two-day workshop is offered as an optional module of the Institute's Teaching and Learning in Higher and Professional Education Programme. It aims to provide course members with an opportunity to examine, explore and integrate a range of practical and theoretical issues relating to course design, in a workshop setting. It will include: approaches to course design; the development of course aims and objectives; the relationship of objectives to methods of teaching, assessment, evaluation; the relationship of course design to student learning; the curriculum context; the institutional/departmental context. This module is available as a short course.
