Business Education MA

This masters degree will:

  • provide new and experienced business studies and economics teachers with academic and professional development
  • develop your awareness of the richness and scope of business education
  • enable you to critically engage with relevant theoretical frameworks
  • extend your knowledge of how research in the field relates to policy and practice
  • provide you with a foundation for original research.

Features

This masters degree provides the opportunity to:

  • start in October or January
  • increase your confidence in discussing and evaluating issues within business education
  • prepare for leadership roles
  • gain credit exemption, in some cases, for M level study such as the IOE's Secondary PGCE in Business and Economics Education.

Entry requirements

A good first degree or the equivalent in business studies, economics or a business-related subject. Applicants normally have relevant professional experience plus qualified teacher status (QTS).

If you do not meet these requirements, you may be able to qualify through special procedures.

How are you assessed?

By coursework and a dissertation of 20,000 words or a report of 10,000 words.

Attendance

Face-to-face evening sessions.
