Who is this programme for?

English and literacy teachers in primary, secondary, further and higher education, advisory teachers and anyone interested in the teaching of English as a first language and teaching literature, drama and media worldwide.

Entry requirements

A good first degree in English or a related area. If you do not meet this requirement, you may be able to qualify through special procedures. Knowledge and experience of teaching English as a curriculum subject would be an advantage.

How are you assessed?

By coursework assignments of up to 5,000 words and an 18,000- to 20,000-word dissertation or 10,000-word report.

Attendance

Mixed mode, including face-to-face afternoon or evening sessions and online learning.
