Who is this programme for?
Practising teachers of English as a second or foreign language (ESL, EFL, ESOL) throughout the world. We also accept teachers of other languages on the understanding that most of the examples used during the programme will be drawn from English language teaching.

Attendance
You will study one unit per week.

How are you assessed?
Module assessment can contain more than one element, but usually includes an assignment of approximately 5,000 words. A report of 10,000 words or a dissertation of 20,000 words is required.

Entry Requirements
You should have a good honours degree in a relevant field of study, a teaching qualification and at least two years' relevant teaching experience. We will also consider candidates with less teaching experience, provided they have an outstanding academic record and can demonstrate insight into language learning and teaching. If you have successfully completed the Cambridge ESOL Diploma in English Language Teaching (DELTA) within the past five years, you are eligible for exemption from one 30-credit optional module. This only applies to new applicants.
In addition to the requirements listed above, you should have access to a computer that supports the FirstClass virtual learning environment.
