Any school leader wanting to move into senior leadership,incl. non-teaching staff; has been in a middle leader role & has already taken part in leadership development or are new to senior management.

Three face to face leadership days and one twilight session over two terms. Start dates in September January or April each year. Inter-sessional tasks between leadership days.

Widening Leadership

Widening Leadership is one of a suite of three new leadership programmes, including Early Leadership and Developing Leaders, designed by the London Centre for Leadership in Learning (LCLL). 

If you are thinking of applying for your first senior role or are new to senior leadership then this programme will help develop your professional skills enabling you to have a deeper understanding of your role. The programme is ideal for anyone who has been in a middle leader role and has already taken part in leadership development. 
The course will help you to:

• Work on all your communication skills
• Consider your motivation and how to motivate others
• Increase your ability to lead your team
• Consider how to lead beyond your team
• Deal with contentious issues and whole school matters

Accredited Programme
Widening Leadership is accredited with the IOE and can be used to gain 30 CATS points towards an MA.
